Prism Final Presentation: Stroke Prevention in Atrial Fibrillation

Assistant Professor, Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar, Gandhinagar

The PRISM Oncology 2026 – Lung Cancer Final Presentations bring together five shortlisted researchers at the culmination of their PRISM research and mentorship journey. Through the Live Jury round, participants will present their mentored projects exploring important real-world challenges and evidence gaps in lung cancer care.

The session features:
- Dr. B S Srinivas – Real-world barriers and utilization of comprehensive molecular testing (EGFR, ALK, ROS1, PD-L1 and ctDNA) in advanced NSCLC at tertiary cancer centres in Bengaluru.
- Dr. Nithiya Piriya – Molecular Testing Patterns and Treatment Gaps in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) in Resource-Limited Settings: A Real-World Study.
- Dr. Satyam Patel – Real-World Impact of Molecular Testing, Treatment Patterns, and Access to Targeted Therapy in Advanced NSCLC: An Indian Experience.
- Dr. Shreya Dhingra – Lack of Standardised Therapy After Third-Generation ALK TKI Progression in ALK-Rearranged Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer: Characterising Resistance Mechanisms and Establishing Evidence-Based Treatment Pathways.
- Dr. Thahaseen Basheer – INDIA-NSLS — Development and Prospective Validation of the Indian Non-Smoker Lung Screening Score: A Novel 9-Domain Risk Stratification Tool for Lung Cancer Detection in Never-Smokers at a Private Quaternary Centre in India.

Spanning themes such as molecular testing, precision oncology, treatment access, resistance after targeted therapy, and lung cancer screening, these studies reflect the evolving landscape of lung cancer care and the importance of generating locally relevant real-world evidence.

Evaluated by a distinguished jury of clinical and research experts, the session will provide participants with valuable scientific feedback, foster critical discussion, and showcase research with the potential to contribute to clinically relevant evidence from India.
